This combination of different things has been a tiring cocktail but it’s been really fulfilling. Even the things that aren’t directly related to my project are having a positive influence on my PhD: I’m gaining in confidence, both in my abilities and my knowledge of my subject area.
Today, I got an email confirming my successful application for Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). So I’m just documenting the addition of another 5 letters after my name. YAY!
Today is a good day and I’m determined to keep it as such, I like good days! I also don’t believe that this good day would mean so much to me if I hadn’t had to battle a little to get here 🙂
As it turns out, I’ve been doing a lot of things that I am able to due by virtue of the fact that I am doing a PhD. I just haven’t been doing my PhD, well I have but it hasn’t been the focus of my brain for a while.
For anyone wondering whether to get involved in teaching, but you’re on the fence because you’re not sure if you know enough or if you’re good enough: DO IT.
